Mentors
Theresa Barber
Theresa Barber is the former Robotics Coordinator for the Pleasant Valley Community School District and was an active participant in helping the district grow its robotics program. She has been coaching and mentoring FLL Jr., FLL, and FTC teams for ten years. She also teaches robotics summer camps and serves on the planning committee for the QCESC National Robotics Week. Theresa is a recipient of the Iowa FLL Coach of the Year, Quad City Engineering and Science Council STEM Volunteer of the Year, and 2nd Place FTC Compass awards.

Michelle Spencer, DVM
Dr. Spencer owns and operates Care Animal Center in Davenport, Iowa. She graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University. Dr. Spencer-McShane specializes primarily in small animals; rabbits, ferrets, and various rodents. She has a love for surgery and uses ultrasound and digital X-Ray as her diagnostic tools. She improves her skills through continuing education which is paramount to her success in providing care for her patients. Her clinic has been voted the best Pet Service in the QC Times Reader's Choice Awards.

HEAD GIRLS
Our Head Girls have close to 50 seasons of FIRST LEGO League experience, hundreds of hours of community outreach, and Genevieve was a 19-20 FIRST Tech Challenge Dean's List Finalist. They have been recognized with a total of 6 FLL Champions Awards at both regional and state levels. Their FIRST LEGO League experience has included participation at the North American Open Championship Tournament in LEGOLAND California and an invitation to the 19-20 FLL Open International. In 2016, they were selected to represent Iowa as one of the 108 teams, worldwide, invited to the FLL World Festival in St. Louis.
